Celebrate summertime as Dave Rastrix & Friends bring an exciting mix of music for dancing to at Rockcliffe Wines on Friday 30 Jan.

Dave Rastrix & Friends have got it all, with funky classics you know and love, plus inspired original songs, all designed for your dancing pleasure! 

Dave Rastrix & Friends was formed from a mix of the repertoire from soul-funk-disco band MoonBass and reggae / Ska band Rastatrix, and more – bringing together the most fun and dance-initiating songs from each band.

Dave Rastrix & Friends features tight brass, three-part vocal harmony, and a funky rhythm section, soaring and inspired lead vocals and solos as its main ingredients. There’s much to love, whether it’s Julia Anwar’s soaring vocals, David Rastrick’s catchy, innovative songwriting and arrangements and inspired trumpet playing, Greg Watson’s funky beats, Grant Moulden’s solid, lowdown electric bass, Ross Dwyer’s creative electric guitar, or Nola Formentin’s passionate trombone and vocals. It’s how the group mixes these talents together as a team that makes the band the smooth, mean rhythm machine it is!

Rockcliffe wine, pizzas, chips, Artisan beer, fudge, gelato and drinks will be available to purchase, or you are welcome to bring your own picnic grub. This is not a BYO drinks event.

Dave Rastrix & Friends will perform from 5:30-8:30pm. Attendees are invited to arrive early before the music starts to enjoy our beautiful vineyard setting.
